A ragged bluesy romp with hopeful lyrics. Inspired by social change and the music of Bo Diddley, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Howlin Wolf, John Lennon & others.
lyrics
Some preach about judgment
Some teach about hate
Some talk of their rivals
and ways to separate
let it be free, let it be free, let it live free
You can try to force a history
that has so many sides
like tryin’ to force the ocean
to go against the tide
let it be free, let it be free, let it live free
Let it be free in my heart
Let it be free in my mind
time after time
Let it live free
We're spinning on an axis
We are turning within space
some will race the time
til' there's nothing left to chase
let it be free, let it be free, let it live free
Some say the change is coming
I say it's already here
You can feel the pulse gettin’ louder
year after year
let it be free, let it be free, let it live free

I LOVE this band. they never disappoint and every time I hear them it's a different growing sound. GAMMA KNIFE has been stuck in my head for a long while. I have their other records but i've never owned this. Ya know, it kicks major ass! nickvoid

Father John Misty is so good to listen to when I want to relax. My cat used to seem to like the music too, and we would both chill and listen to the FJM vinyls I own. This album on bandcamp was a nice FJM treat. Michelle May
