BEHIND THE SONG:
Rob - "I was getting caught up in a mindset of what was missing in my life... What I hadn't achieved, and the negativity and frustration that surrounded that. The fact that I 'should have accomplished A B and C by this time' or 'why didn't I do this or make this choice' etc. I decided it wasn't a healthy perspective and wanted to write a song to remind me that I can let go of all that negativity and embrace a more tranquil existence."
lyrics
Easy Days
(lyrics by Rob Kolar except the word "grifter" by Ryan Richter)
time
is it biting at your heels
your mind
is it restless at the wheel
your easy days are waiting
if you want them to begin
summer lingers round the corner
just let it in
let it in
choices
are they scattered round your view
and the voices
are your demons haunting you
your easy days are waiting
if you want them to begin
summer lingers round the corner
just let it in
let it in
can you feel the cold breeze
drifting through the air
like a grifter
stealing all your cares
change
can be hard to accept
you can stay the same
might be something to regret
your easy days are waiting
if you want them to begin
summer lingers round the corner
just let it in
let it in

Father John Misty is so good to listen to when I want to relax. My cat used to seem to like the music too, and we would both chill and listen to the FJM vinyls I own. This album on bandcamp was a nice FJM treat. Michelle May

These two are awesome! A unique and fresh sound. If you get a chance , Google some of their videos, some crazy shit there! Totally wish I could see a Live show, would be a lot fun! natureschild
